GPTech equipment operate in 'Convention Center' PV plant in Puerto Rico

GPTech APIS indoor

The PV project named Convention Center, placed at Centro de Convenciones Pedro Roselló, in San Juan de Puerto Rico, is already in operation. The PV plant has 5 MW of installed capacity. It has been developed by Gestamp Solar, including GPTech's equipment. Thus, the company consolidates its position in Puerto Rico after providing a complete solution including PV inverters and a Power Plant Controller to Ilumina's project, of 20 MW.

In this occasion, GPTech has provided four APIS UL 1200 i20 and one APIS UL 600 i20. The first solutions include, among other devices, two PV500 WD indoor inverters and two GPDM, DC/AC disconnection modules that include string boxes and a low voltage board. Additionally, they count on a pad mounted transformer of 1200 kVA placed outside the container. On the other hand, the APIS UL 600 i20 is composed by one PV500 WD indoor inverter and a GPDM, as well as by a pad mounted transformer of 600 kVA.

All the equipment that have been installed in this PV facility, by MAETEL (EPC), have the UL certification and fulfil with the Minimum Technical Requirements (MTRs) demanded by PREPA (Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority), one the most exigent requirements worldwide.

With this project, GPTech reinforces its position in the Caribbean and consolidates its position as expert partner in offering solutions for grid integration and grid stability under any ambient condition, assuring the compliment of the most exigent technical requirements.
