Advanced Storage System for transport application

Every braking needs large amount of energy that is not reutilized again. GPTech has been working with commuter trains and undergrounds to achieve that this energy is not wasted and can be used again to start these vehicles.

Sistema de almacenamiento para transporte

We have been working on a kinetic energy storage technology based on an inertia steering wheel that turns at high speed activated by an electrical machine which acts like an engine when energy is stored and recharged like a generator.

Thus, we have developed a DC/DC power converter adapted to the features of the overhead power cables for commuter trains and undergrounds. This technology works as an advanced energy storage system that uses the braking energy to reduce the consumption peaks and decrease the voltage drops of the catenary.
