A particles accelerator is composed by tetrodes that create the necessary energy to accelerate particles. In order to work properly, these tetrodes need a high voltage direct power supply.

With this purpose, GPTech has developed a power converter of a prototypic power supply to feed the anode of the final amplifier of a RF chain. This power supply works under two distinct modes of operation of the tetrodes: continuous wave and pulsed modes, without being necessary any modification in the hardware or software. In addition, it supplies the required current throughout the anode just in microseconds.
